Eon Aquaculture

Pioneering Sustainable Aquaculture in Bangladesh

Established in 2015, EON Aquaculture Limited was founded with a vision to develop a sustainable, secure and prosperous aquaculture industry that empowers farmers. Our goal is to advance scientific fish feeding practices and produce high-quality fry for resilient and sustainable aquaculture.

Through advanced breeding programs, bio-secure hatchery systems and strategic collaborations with global organizations like WorldFish, we are leading the transformation of Bangladesh’s aquaculture sector. We deliver next-generation fish seed and intelligent farming solutions that are redefining industry standards and practices.

Tilapia Breeding Nucleus (TBN)

In 2015, we launched our tilapia hatchery operations and established a Tilapia Breeding Nucleus (TBN) in Muktagacha, Mymensingh District through a strategic partnership with WorldFish Bangladesh. This pioneering initiative was designed to improve broodstock quality for local hatcheries and produce high-yield mono-sex Tilapia fry to enhance sector productivity.

Following our initial success, we expanded operations to Subarnachar, Noakhali, where we developed a state-of-the-art production facility. Today, we maintain two advanced TBN centers and operate Bangladesh’s largest Tilapia hatchery with an annual production capacity of 200 million fry.

As WorldFish’s exclusive partner, we import and refine vaccinated, disease-free Gen-19 GIFT Tilapia under our ongoing MoU, demonstrating our leadership in advanced aquaculture genetics and bio-secure production.

Carp Breeding

We pioneered Bangladesh’s first commercial snakehead hatchery through a technical partnership with a leading Chinese aquaculture consultancy. Our diverse carp broodstock program includes G3 Rohu, Halda Catla, Mrigal, Silver Carp and Pangas – all bred to deliver genetically superior, disease-resistant seed stock.

Sustainable Practices

We promote sustainable table fish and shrimp production through rigorous Good Aquaculture Practices (GAP), supporting both Penaeus monodon and vannamei cultivation in southern Bangladesh’s brackish water ecosystems.

Looking Forward

Currently expanding into value-added processing for domestic and international markets, EON Aquaculture Limited continues to drive sector transformation through innovative, sustainable solutions that elevate Bangladesh’s aquaculture industry.

Our commitment remains firm: to build a thriving, sustainable aquaculture sector that benefits farmers and strengthens Bangladesh’s food security.
